What is Outpost Ares?

Outpost Ares is a visually realistic science fiction series in development; well advanced. The plot begins with the landing of a spacecraft piloted by a crew of astronauts, taikonauts, and cosmonauts on Mars in the year 2027. This first crew enters a habitat previously constructed by AI-controlled robots. Immediately after landing, Chinese scientist Xiaotong Zheng discovers a mysterious artifact. This artifact emits a signal—directly from the depths of the planet.

The crew - including Commander Mitchell, Yuri Leonov, Anika Sharma, and Sarah Carter - is faced with a secret that dates back 10,000 years: Mars was colonized by a Sumerian culture - with the support of extraterrestrial powers.

Outpost Ares tells the story, what awaits the settlers, and what the future holds for the new residents.

About the Creator – Ralph Roeske

Outpost Ares is the latest visionary project from Ralph Roeske, a pioneer of interactive science fiction and media publishing.

• Since 1962: Passion for science fiction – reading Perry Rhodan, Ren Dhark, Rex Corda, and thousands of individual novels
• 1975: Development of the first sci-fi game concepts (board games, later for programmable calculators such as the TI-59), self-produced and published
• 1979: Publication of a chess computer book through our own publishing house
• 1983: Founding of the first home computer magazines in German-speaking countries ("Homecomputer" and "CPU") – market leader within one year
• 1986: Development and marketing of the RP System – a compiler-based game programming system for the Commodore C64
• 1990s: Development of PC games and the first internet applications (including Bundesliga tips), distributed via DMV
• 2000s: Further development of the RP concept with Blitz3D – proprietary 3D game and function libraries based on C64 experience
• From 2007: Development of a comprehensive eSports project with investors – ultimately failed due to massive legal blockades in Germany and Austria. Imprisonment despite no complaints or victims. Shareholders publicly demanded my release via petitions. A detailed report is available upon request.
• Since 2020: Founding of Panoworlds.com – an immersive 360° web project with timelines, music, and visual narratives
• From 2025: Development of the realistically staged sci-fi online saga "Outpost Ares" as a weekly photo novel series – in preparation: a related RTS strategy game for 2026
